P.S.A

Dear Smokers,

If you're still self-destructive and inconsiderate enough to continue smoking do me a favor m'kay?  Keep your damned butts in the car with you!  Do not throw them out into the roadside ditch especially in an area that hasn't had any measurable amount of rain in the last month or so ya jackasses!  Beating out the resulting fire and hauling buckets of water are not my idea of a fun afternoon when it's already 97 degrees out.

I'm just sayin'

More hunting

Didn't catch quite the same prey today but I did snare something else pretty.

Easter_eggs

If you look closely you'll see the mouse corpses still hanging in behind the fresh catch.  It was a little more lively than the mousies though and tried to make a break for it.  I caught it just outside though, before it made it do all the way down the ramp.  See?

But we had a little talk about its bad behavior and I think it'll behave now.

If not I suppose I could try duct tape next but that seems a little extreme huh?  Makes a mess of the yarn too.  Maybe a ziplok bag would work, hmmm....

Be vewy, vewy qwiet...

It was a good days hunting here at Chez renegade and I have photographic evidence right here:
Corpses

Cool huh?  Fuzzy little hollowed out mouse corpses hanging right from the light fixture in the living room.  Maybe not the most popular look but I think it's pretty cool.  Besides, it got me to actually blog something for a change.  With a picture and everything, the world must be ending later this afternoon or something.  Hope I manage to get the kids home first.

Rumors in the air...

Well, maybe not rumors but something is.  (Bonus points to you if you recognize my title tonight.)  Anyway, there's something in the air.  In the midst of frantic holiday knitting, you know, the several projects literally surrounding me as I ignore them, write this post and watch ID4 for roughly the... I don't think I can count that high, I watch some part every time it's on.

Anywho, I was thinking about doing some knitting for charity (good causes, not my SIL) after the holidays.  Cold hands and heads will still be cold in January and if I start anything else now I won't finish anything for anyone, besides, it seems everyone gets the spark to donate before the holidays and it tapers off afterward.  Kind of like immediately after Katrina  and the much later, huh?

So as I was musing and surfing and still not actually knitting I hit Rabbitch's blog because I do that at least once a day and I found the perfect way to start.  Pay It Forward.  I'm snitching this part from her because, well, it's already so well said.

“It’s the Pay It Forward Exchange. It’s based on the concept of the movie “Pay it Forward” where acts or deeds of kindness are done without expecting something in return, just passing it on, with hope that the recipients of the acts of kindness are passed on. So here’s how it works. I will make and send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment to this post on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I do not know what that gift will be yet, and it won’t be sent this month, probably not next month, but it will be sent (within 6 months) and that’s a promise! What YOU have to do in return, then, is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.

I will now Pay It Forward to you THREE, I wonder who you will be?! Please, be a PIF! You will enjoy it just as much as we do!”

And, remember…you have 6 months to get your gifts done! Come on, you know you would love to be one of my angels. Then, one day, but you don’t know when….you will get a gift that I have made especially for YOU!

Please remember, you don’t have to knit or crochet to participate, anyone who can make a nice handmade gift is welcome to join.

Okay gang, the first three comments get... something nifty and handmade.  Around here that means knitted and quite possibly dyed as well.  So y'all comment, I've got to go knit, I think I'll ignore all the other stuff and start a scarf for Covenant House, got some yummy yarn that needs a new home.

Got some extra cash?
